Basketball

One more game, and at least the conference has ONE team in the championship. Truly Goliath? We will find out tonight.

Would like to note that the Sling one day pass is truly that. You get a 24 hr window to watch full programming (on their orange plan). Service expires at sign up time, next day. $4.99

Will be interesting to see if anything happens in the off-season regarding NIL and transfer portal rules. There seems to be growing speculation that rules may be created, possibly including, but not limited to, player/school (team) contracts. Which would give smaller schools a better chance at retaining players.

Not going to lie, this season was tough. But, I always look forward to next year.

Back to Reality

At this point in the year, we either continue or cancel. Cancel what? Rest easy young friends. Not friends, not family, not pets. I’m speaking of subscriptions. My team had a rebounding year, and it’s the only reason I pay for cable TV. Yes, I love Wolf Blitzer, Kasie Hunt (there’s something about her), Katy Tur, etc. There have even been times that I have binged off of Ari Melber.

Probably too much information, or at this point “tldr”. But I have to think about budget. Maybe, just me. No simile. And I’m thinking, that maybe, just maybe, if I make another move (location)…or set up a new (networked or not) cable/tv system it will involve roof antenna/mythtv (again) and possibly kodi (again). Restricting as much advertising and marketing as possible. Using vpn or otherwise.

Oh, you wanted Back to Reality in a song?

X

It’s storming hard today. And as the lights flicker around you, you’re reminded of a club. A strobe light. Those lights you wired in the hallway, the bedroom, the bathroom, the porch… were they wired correctly? Just west of here there was severe damage from hail and terrible storms, was/is that heading this way?

At this point, who cares? There’s basketball tonight. Granted, the season has been tough. The initial games in the tournament have been diverted to subscription only services, apps… a sad departure from years ago. Online radio stream? Let’s do it! Skyline Chili, suds, and a little luck will carry us on!

A win feels good. Tomorrow, Goliath.

Game On!

So, nutrition has been a focus lately. Lots of greens (broccoli, asparagus, brussel sprouts, beans, etc) in the diet. But, I’m also making a conscious effort of adding fruits. Mostly berries, but also oranges (C), and bananas (potassium).

It’s game night though, and nothing beats watching college basketball while munching on a pie! So it’s time to indulge. Homemade.

The conference is very competitive this year. Many coaching and roster changes occurred in the offseason. Cheer loud. Cheer often. While up. While down. No fair weathers allowed.

What an AWESOME video!!

The leaves are plentiful, nearly a daily cleanup routine. College basketball season has begun, and this year looks more interesting than others (for my team). It’s going to be yet another fun/stressful season (with ups and downs) when it comes to hoops.

I found this video quite awhile ago and thought it may just put a smile on a few faces. Dogs… what would we do without them? A great story:
